I would once more like to remind new gallery members and those who wish to register there that the confirmation mail for that part of the site does not function well and that you should try to log in with your username and password a day after you register.

Also, I would kindly ask you to fill in the forms properly as we don't approve incomplete registrations.

It's almost that time of year again. 2011 Keanu Calendars are coming soon for ordering. The software I use is now available in a much improved version. With luck and a few more small donations in the next three weeks, I will be able to purchase it and start creating your next full year of Keanu.  For more info, click on the pic below

Wishing everyone a happy 2010!  I just wanted to take a moment for that wish and to touch base with CK members. 

As most can tell I haven't been around too much, Ginger has done a fantastic job  taking over day to day operations. and lizzy, darkcity, annabelle and others who send in news. So my "semi" retirement has been successful.  I have however been behind the scenes helping Ginger with contests, ideas for new features, and of course doing my best to get all the new photos I can, which right now aren't many since our guy is somewhere filming in NY. But I'm sure that will change soon.  I also want to thank those who have continued to donate for the upkeep of CK,  Much appreciated.

For the new year I resolve to be a little more involved than I have been. The time off has helped me relax and deal with real life issues I had to face. Feeling better I can now help Ginger more and together we will do our best to make improvements to the site. Suggestions are also welcomed..

I've noticed that many newly registered members never log in and I would just like to remind you of the following:

The automated reply system sometimes fails to send the approval message and therefore I'd kindly ask you to try to log in with your user name and password a day or two after the registration.

Also, in order to get approved, you need to fill in the form properly (all the fields and with a valid e-mail address) - otherwise you won't get approved.

Being registered here, at the homepage, doesn't automatically mean you are registered at the Gallery (or Lounge) as well. You need to register for each of the three boards separately.

And, finally, these guidelines can always be found in the top right box (CK Links) if you click on Other CK Links and then Gallery Registration Info.

In the same box, there's a link to our Frequently Asked Questions page - Info page/FAQ which gives more additional information.

Is there anyone working on banners for the Fall Contest, as posted here?  I have only one submission thus far, and one person does not make a contest. So if there isn't anyone else, I will end the contest this weekend and send that person a little gift for effort.  If there are others who are working on banners, email me.  I will then give a few more days.   If not, I still have those prizes so we shall think of another, EASY contest.

I don't know how many of you noticed the second poll down on the left or read in the Lounge (the message board) about our dilemmas on staying public or going private but this is something that's been springing up occasionally in various forms over the last few years. The need to change something in that respect is manifold but I'm not going to analyse the reasons here again - absolutely everythting was said in that thread.

All the discussion there was extremely helpful and Chicks and I would really like to thank everybody who took part for helping us come to a decision which seems to be final at least for some time.

CK will stay public for the biggest part but we do INSIST that those members who donate regularly or bigger sums over longer periods should get something in return.

Gallery Announcement! First of all, my sincere thanks to those who have recently donated to CK, not only for hosting, but for photos and other necessities (programs, etc) that aid in keeping CK growing.

Because of my own personal life expenses lately, due to unexpected costly events, I pretty much can only run this site with your contributions. I'm happy to say that we have a few that donate on a regular basis and occasionally a very generous one at that.
