LONG BEACH - According to a Las Vegas gambling expert, Adam Carolla is an 11-1 favorite in his portion of the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race on April 17.

Carolla isn't buying it for a second.

"I was never even my parents' favorite," the veteran television/radio personality joked before Tuesday's media luncheon outside the Long Beach Arena, "so I'm grounded. I've got my head in the clouds but my feet on the ground."

Trevor Undi, who worked as an assistant to Scott Derrickson for TDTESS, has nothing but praise for Keanu. Here's the snippet from his interview:

Working closely with such a high-calibre director is a natural path to becoming a producing partner, says Undi, who befriended Keanu Reeves during The Day the Earth Stood Still's development phase.

"He's one of the most remarkable and incredibly intelligent people I've met," says Undi, who is re-teaming with Reeves on post-production for his new film Henry's Crime. "He's so gracious and respectable."

The Grand Prix downtown ticket office, located at 300 E. Seaside Way in Long Beach (near the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center box office) will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"I can totally attest to what a nice, sweet guy Keanu is. I actually ran in to him twice in the Bay Area when he was here filming Sweet November.

The first time he was swarmed by a bunch of high school kids in Daly City asking for autographs. And he was very patient and gracious, actually engaging these kids for a minute or two and not just scribbling in their notepads before pushing them off. When they all left I talked to him for a minute. He shook my hand and patted me on the shoulder and said "Take care."
