The Day the Earth Stood Still remake is a strange film to review. First of all, I wouldn't call it a remake at all. It's a complete overhaul and reinvention of the 1951 film. Was I one of those people who liked the 1951 film? Well I did, in parts, but I'm a child of my era and I had problems with the logic in the old film e.g: why oh why would the government only put two guards on Gort???

Best known for his roles in Speed, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and the Matrix trilogy, actor Keanu Reeves combines boyish good looks with a Zen-like, almost spiritual calm.

UK, December 2, 2008 - The internet was abuzz yesterday after a scooper from AintItCool.com said that 20th Century Fox were looking to make a third Speed movie, and that they wanted the star of the original - Keanu Reeves - to reprise his role as Jack Traven.

I do not know if Keanu really will be there. The information is from this side.

Keanu Reeves wants to know how many years I have. It's an unusual expression, akin to an English-language translation of the French "Quel âge avez-vous?" Maybe this should come as no great surprise - after all, Reeves grew up in Canada.
