THE LAKE HOUSE LA TRIP

6/10/06-6/13/06

Before leaving for LA last Saturday, I told myself nothing could top last years Constantine premiere adventure. Well I was almost wrong, comes very close. However, because last time I got to meet Keanu and get a hug and handshake as well as chat with him briefly, that will always be the top encounter, at least until and if I ever get lucky enough to meet him again.

This year did have MUCH MORE than I had anticipated, which is good when you keep your expectations low, which mine were. In exchanging emails with Jena I told her something like “wouldn’t it be great if he did Leno while we were there and we went?” Lo and behold, a few days later we find out that will happen. The gals and I started making our plans to attend the show. Thanks Jena and others who sent in  your Leno advice from past experiences. It proved valuable. We decided, using that info, it would be best not to take chances and to arrive very early.

I arrived at LAX Saturday late afternoon. Mellake was already there from earlier and already had a nice surpise when she arrived. (but that’s her story) It was great finally meeting her, she’s been one of the first members and has been a good friend and loyal Cker.

That night we went to dinner at Le Clafoutis (we did the “eat where Keanu eats” thing, always fun). Very nice place, good food, good people. The gang there this night was me, audy, Bethanie, Mellake, Chris, Angel and Janet (aka pollywog who flew in from Canada, you are just too cute girlie) At all these restuarants we ate outside, not only cause it’s good for viewing what may drive by on Sunset, but the weather was excellent, a cool breeze most of the time.

Sunday we did some running around, finding that LH poster everywhere.

We even ventured out of “the zone” for a bit, but never too long. Hehehe  We went to see his star at the Walk of fame.
